DeAsha Powell loves to cook, read, binge watching Grey’s Anatomy, and she’s fluent in Spanish! She always knew that Auburn was the school for her, and she’s been an excellent addition to our nursing program. In this episode we discuss what it’s like to be a nursing student during a worldwide pandemic. We also discuss Black History Month and the nurses of color who have inspired her along her journey. DeAsha bravely shares her experience as a student of color and gives some wisdom to other students from underrepresented groups. We are so excited to see how DeAsha enhances the nursing profession, and grateful that she trusted Auburn to prepare her for her promising career!
